Darwin's tree of life necklace
In 1837, Charles Darwin sketched his concept of the evolutionary tree of life. The famous sketch is from Darwin's Notebook B. Darwin later made his theory of evolution public, in his book On the Origin of Species. It included his illustration of the Tree of Life. The lines on the tree show evolutionary relationships between species. This means that species that are closely related are found close together, on the same branch.
This necklace features Darwin's tree of life, direct from his Notebook B. The tree of life is engraved and hand painted. This necklace is laser cut from one piece of 3mm acrylic and measures about 3.5cm wide x 3.5cm tall. The pendant comes with either a black suede cord or a silver plated necklace chain. It comes in a CrankyBot gift bag.
