Imagine wearing the power of the sun around your neck! Ok, not quite but imagine wearing a representation of the solar activity from our sun.

This hot hot jewellery piece is a physical visualisation of the solar flares from our sun. The outer ring is the number of solar flares. The inner ring represents the radio flux. Data was sampled monthly from 1991 to 2012 to give that amazing tear drop shape.

This necklace is laser cut from 3mm translucent acrylic, measures about 3cm at the widest point x 4.5 cm at the tallest point. The item is engraved and hand painted, so each piece is unique! :) Each tear drop pendant comes on an 18" silver plated chain. Due to the handmade nature of this piece, very slight variations may occur from the item pictured. 

Each Solar Vis necklace comes with its own CrankyBot gift bag and a cool space fact.
